Job Description
This project officer role is part of a team that influences high-quality end-to-end participant experience through reporting and insights on continuous improvement, quality, performance, sustainability, workload, and workforce management. The team reviews consistency and quality of operational activities against standards, procedures, and practices across the end-to-end participant value chain.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
* Contribute to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework.
* Provide advice, procedural guidance, and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
* Perform research and analysis, including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
* Contribute to regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports.
* Draft written material, including business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation for review.
* Assist with monitoring project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure, and assisting with procurement and contract management.
* Assist with the identification and management of project risks, issues, and benefits.
Requirements
Successful candidates will possess:
* Australian citizenship.
* Government administration and writing experience, including coordinating, drafting, editing a range of agency documentation.
* At least 2 years' project management experience or experience in government or the social services field.
* Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders and manage expectations.
* Conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to explain complex issues succinctly.
* The ability to access, understand, and present data around key agency metrics and reporting.
