What you'll be doing
As the Level 3 Senior Social Worker, you will provide advanced clinical social work services to patients and families navigating the complexities of Cystic Fibrosis. You will bring specialised skills in assessment, intervention, care coordination and psychosocial support while contributing to service development and professional leadership.
* Deliver high‑level, complex psychosocial assessments and interventions
* Provide counselling, crisis support, advocacy and care planning
* Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams on complex clinical matters
* Support service development, education, quality improvement and policy initiatives
* Provide supervision and guidance to social work staff and students in line with AASW standards

Essential Requirements
* Qualification: Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated understanding of psychosocial issues associated with acute and chronic illness, disability, mental health in adolescents demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in social work assessment, crisis intervention including trauma, counselling, case management for patients/families with illness adjustment, domestic violence, child protection, end of life care and bereavement support.
* Demonstrated experience in staff and student supervision.
* Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education.
* Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills and high level computer literacy.
* Demonstrated excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
* Demonstrated understanding of issues associated with working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse client groups.
* Unrestricted drivers licence and availability to participate in the After-Hours Crisis On Call Social Work Service
