We are seeking a seasoned, professional Receptionist to join their team on a fixed-term contract to cover a period of parental leave. You will be an essential part of a two-person front desk team, acting as the welcoming and professional first point of contact for a busy corporate environment, providing high-quality customer service and comprehensive administrative support to internal and external stakeholders.
Estimated Contract Term: November 2025 to June 2026
Hours: Full-time (7:30 am start, Monday to Friday) or Part-time (7:30 am - 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for extended hours as needed).
Location: Yatala, QLD.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Receptionist, you will be a highly motivated, reliable, and passionate individual with a well-developed skillset to manage your workload independently and take initiative. You thrive on delivering outstanding customer service and have a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Key Duties Include:
- Managing a busy switchboard, efficiently answering calls, greeting clients and visitors, and managing messages.
- Providing dedicated administrative support to various internal departments.
- Assisting with general customer enquiries and requests.
- Organising and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and couriers.
- Maintaining various essential data bases with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Coordinating internal and external meetings, including catering requirements as needed.
- Managing the inventory of office and staff uniform supplies.
- General office administration (e.g., filing, scanning, binding).
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must possess the following:
- Proven experience working in a busy Receptionist position, preferably within a corporate or manufacturing setting.
- A strong background in customer service is essential.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Excellent computer and typing skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
