Description About the role – Full-time, permanent Role We’re on an exciting journey to bring together our products, services and technology under one brand. Our Test Analysts will directly contribute to delivering our member digital ecosystem that drives great customer experience and underpins out strategic vision to be a technology enabled bank. As an Automation Test Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of payment systems within our bank. Working closely with the Test Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining manual and functional testing within our Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defining test scopes and test data for projects relating to Visa & Mastercard payments. Your day will include identifying manual test cases suitable for automation and reviewing and refining our regression test packs. This fast-paced role operates in a dynamic banking environment, requiring strong attention to detail and technical expertise in integration technologies and testing approaches. Key responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain modern object-oriented automation frameworks, ensuring alignment with enterprise-defined test architecture and standards. Provide technical leadership and guidance on automation strategy and tooling to support the effective execution of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Contribute to the creation of automation test scopes, plans, and scripts across both project initiatives and BAU activities. Develop and maintain automation test assets using Java, TypeScript, Rest Assured, Tosca, and Postman, with reusability across Unit, System, SIT, UAT, and PVT testing phases. Collaborate with stakeholders to review and provide feedback on requirements, architecture, and design documents, ensuring completeness, correctness, traceability, and testability. Identify, prioritize, and automate manual functional test cases to improve efficiency and consistency in test execution. Define and create automated test data aligned to test objectives and environments. Execute manual and automated end-to-end testing, identifying and managing defects through the Enterprise Defect Process. Use exploratory testing techniques to supplement automation efforts and uncover hidden issues. Monitor and troubleshoot test environments and test execution in distributed cloud environments, ensuring timely resolution and performance optimization. Continuously evaluate and identify shortcomings in test processes, tools, and environments, providing pragmatic and cost-effective recommendations for improvement within the Enterprise Test Practice. Promote quality and compliance by providing guidance on test standards, governance, templates, and best practices to project and delivery teams. Actively contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, reporting hazards or incidents and supporting physical and psychological wellbeing. Proactively identify and manage risks, promoting a culture of risk awareness and applying mitigation strategies where applicable. About you You will have at least two years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on payments systems, ideally within a banking environment. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings, where competing priorities and shifting deadlines are the norm. Your expertise includes exposure to OSKO, NPP payments, and CUSCAL systems, giving you a solid understanding of real-time payment processing. You have a keen eye for detail and a structured approach to testing, ensuring high-quality outcomes. While your core strength lies in manual and functional testing, any experience with test automation will be highly regarded. Adaptable and proactive, you excel at problem-solving and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive seamless testing processes.
