Position overview:
The Junior Test Analyst will support the testing activities of the SAP SuccessFactors transformation program across modules such as Employee Central (EC), Payroll (ECP), Recruitment, and Onboarding. Working under the guidance of the Test Lead, this role will assist with test execution, defect logging, and supporting documentation for functional and user acceptance testing.
This is an entry-level role, ideal for a recent graduate or diploma holder with strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and foundational knowledge in software testing or business systems.
Responsibilities:
* Support the creation and maintenance of test cases and test scripts based on functional requirements and user stories.
* Execute manual test cases across SAP SuccessFactors modules under supervision.
* Assist in setting up test data and maintaining test environments.
* Report test results and raise defects in line with agreed processes.
* Accurately log defects in defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA).
* Retest resolved defects and validate fixes.
* Support the triage and prioritisation of issues with business SMEs and test leads.
* Maintain clear testing documentation, including execution logs, screenshots, and defect summaries.
* Assist in the preparation of test summary reports and handover documents.
* Work closely with functional consultants, developers, and business testers to understand the system and processes being tested.
* Attend test planning and daily stand-up meetings.
* Provide general testing support during mock loads, parallel payroll runs, and cutover activities.

Key Selection Criteria – Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
* Basic understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and testing principles.
* Awareness of SAP SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Payroll, Recruitment & Onboarding, Learning).
* Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM).
* Basic knowledge of integration concepts (APIs, data migration, middleware).
* Understanding of HR processes (hiring, onboarding, payroll cycles, leave management).
