We are looking for an Accounts and Administration Assistant to join our team. The position will report to the Finance and Administration Manager and assist in various support functions within the organisation.
The person should be interested in long-term employment, be a good communicator, be conscientious, be willing to learn, and demonstrate a high level of organisation and attention to detail. On-the-job training will be provided as required, and there is potential for career growth within the organisation.
This is a full-time role but part-time hours and salary may be negotiated dependent on quality of applicant.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Assisting with Accounts processing; including Accounts Payable and Receivables.
* Banking duties; including reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions.
* Reception duties; including answering phones and welcoming visitors.
* Assist with record management and including registering of information, preparation of documents and record retention.
* General office duties; including maintaining supplies of staff amenities and stationery.
* Provide assistance with other functions within the business as required.
* Filing and archiving of company records and documentation.
* Monitor, schedule and assist with support function tasks to completion.
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* Comfortable with basic to intermediate level mathematics and numeracy.
* Computer literacy: particularly with using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Have strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines for urgent work.
* Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable skills, experience and qualifications:
* Qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, business or similar.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software.
* Experience using Enterprise Resource Programs (ERPs).
