Job Overview:
This role involves operating machinery in a feedlot environment, performing tasks such as pre-start inspections, mechanical fault reporting, and loader operation.
* Undertake thorough pre-operation checks of all equipment to ensure safe usage.
* Report any mechanical issues promptly to the supervisor for timely resolution.
* Operate loaders efficiently to maintain cleanliness and ensure smooth operations in the feedlot.
* Drive feed trucks to implement feeding schedules as planned.
* Perform general laboring duties to support team efforts.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Requirements:
* Previous experience operating various types of heavy machinery is highly advantageous.
* Possession of a valid HR license and relevant machinery tickets is desirable but not essential.
* Able to work safely and effectively within confined spaces.
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Strong work ethic and ability to take instruction.
* Able to adapt to changing circumstances.
