We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer (Civil) to join our Woolooga site team on a large-scale BESS project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil infrastructure, earthworks, and structural foundations, ideally with experience in energy storage, substations, or large-scale electrical projects.
Your Duties Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
Assist with scheduling and resource management for civil construction activities, ensuring efficient use of labour, materials, and equipment.
Oversee on-site activities, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards while optimising material and plant usage.
Conduct risk assessments, attend safety meetings, and perform quality checks to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to timelines.
Maintain accurate project records, assist with variation pricing, and provide progress reports to support project transparency and compliance.
Support quality assurance processes and implement environmental management procedures in line with ISO 14001 standards.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
Proven track record in large civil infrastructure projects, ideally within renewable energy, battery storage, substations, or large electrical infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, including earthworks, drainage, and structural foundations, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.
Familiarity with Australian safety standards, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements for energy storage projects is beneficial.
Proactive approach to managing site challenges, tracking project deadlines, civil estimating, pricing variations, and geotechnical assessments.
