Operations Manager Job Overview

This is a key leadership role responsible for the smooth running of all operational aspects of the team, including planning and delivery of home games, coordination of team logistics, and administrative support.

* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, events, or sports administration, with experience in managing complex events with multiple stakeholders.
* They will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver all home games to a professional standard, ensuring compliance with league requirements.
* Oversee in-venue presentation, signage, entertainment, vendors, and fan engagement activities.
* Manage game day staff, volunteers, and contractors, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
* Coordinate with venue, security, catering, and technical suppliers.
* Manage team travel logistics, including flights, accommodation, and ground transport.
* Coordinate training schedules, venue bookings, and equipment requirements.
* Liaise with the league, and opposition teams on scheduling and game requirements.
* Maintain accurate player and staff records, including compliance with league and club policies.
* Provide executive assistance to the CEO, including diary management, correspondence, and meeting coordination.
* Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and internal documentation.
* Support the coordination of commercial, community, and media events.
* Ensure all operational activities comply with health, safety, and league regulations.


Requirements and Qualifications

* Minimum 3+ years' experience in operations, events, or sports administration.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proven ability to deliver complex events with multiple stakeholders.
* Experience in managing travel, scheduling, and logistical arrangements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with digital admin tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
