MDD helps insurance companies, independent adjustment firms, multinational corporations, government entities, and individuals calculate the true economic damage of claims or disputes.
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to serve as an essential supporting function of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a related degree in finance and/or accounting and ideally, some experience in a related role(s), possess strong communication and analytical skills, and can work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Data input, invoice analysis
Preliminary analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
Physical inventory observation, price testing
Verification of claim to source documents
Interview of Insured's or claimant representatives relative to each assignment
Checking and proofing report schedules and reports
Copying, research and other miscellaneous tasks
Additional adhoc tasks as per business requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Accounting or Finance degree
Accounting-related internship/work experience, highly desirable
Working towards CPA / CA qualification favourable
Strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities
Comfortable taking ownership of individual responsibilities
Must be able to work under pressure and/or tight deadlines
Open to taking feedback, direction and making use of feedback to improve overall output
IT literate with good MS office skills. Accounting software experience, a plus
