* Provide home help services: general housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
* Provide personal care services: getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed; assisting with medications; assisting with mobility and therapy goals; providing complex care for high care needs (e.g., dementia); providing social and emotional support; transporting clients to activities or appointments; supporting family carers.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Providing medication management and administration.
* Supporting clients with mobility and therapy goals, including transfers and exercise programs.
* Providing social and emotional support to clients and their families.
* Transporting clients to activities or appointments.
* Supporting family carers through education, respite, and other forms of assistance.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
* Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
* A commitment to maintaining client privacy and dignity at all times.
