Family Services Practitioner
Seeking a compassionate and resourceful professional to join our team as a Family Services Practitioner. In this rewarding role, you will work with families who are experiencing stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life, and children’s well-being.
Job Description:
* Develop and implement assertive outreach and home-based supports for families in need, responding to referrals from relevant authorities.
* Conduct strengths and risk assessments in clients’ homes or child’s schools, building rapport and trust with each family.
* Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to plan and review support strategies for families, ensuring effective outcomes.
* Consult with Child Protection services and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for families.
* Participate in reflective practice meetings with colleagues to discuss challenging cases and share best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline.
* Understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act and Best Interest Principles.
* Demonstrated experience in undertaking risk assessments and planning appropriate intervention strategies.
* Capacity to work flexibly and innovatively to meet the needs of families, children, and young people.
