At Mercure & Ibis Perth, part of the Accor global hotel group, we pride ourselves on delivering warm hospitality and exceptional guest experiences in the heart of Perth. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team and support the delivery of timely and accurate financial operations across the hotel.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Timely and accurate processing of all creditors and other accounts (Standard Orders, Prepayments, Retail Outlets, Tour Operators, Petty Cash, etc.)
2. End-of-month procedures including reconciliations to the Trial Balance, General Ledger, Balance Sheet and supplier statements
3. Maintain and update data in the Accounts Payable system and ensure orderly filing of financial documentation
4. Prepare and submit financial reports as required for both internal and head office reporting
5. Oversee Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and Cashiering functions, ensuring prompt collection and reconciliation of outstanding balances
6. Organise regular credit meetings with the General Manager and department heads
7. Manage the maintenance of AR sub-ledgers, debtor creation and credit limit reviews
