Provide a high level of secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Executive, Hospitals North by undertaking a diverse range of administrative projects and activities. Support and maintain systems that assist in providing safe, high quality health care service delivery.

The Team:

Hospitals North is responsible for a broad range of healthcare services delivered within the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and through eight regional Primary Health sites.

The LGH is Tasmania's second largest hospital and the major referral centre for Northern Tasmania. Providing inpatient and ambulatory services to Launceston and surrounding areas. The LGH also delivers extensive outpatient and ambulatory services for the local community. Hospitals North is the largest employer in the region with approximately 3,800 staff. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

We are looking for two dynamic, organised and professional Executive Assistants to provide high level executive and secretarial support to the Chief Executive, Hospitals North and to the Executive Director, Operations and Performance, Hospitals North through the provision of a diverse range of administrative tasks and activities to ensure efficient and professional administrative and executive operations.

You will need:

* Demonstrated ability to organise, set priorities and meet deadlines together with a demonstrated capacity to deal with a number of tasks concurrently in a demanding environment, including efficient and effective diary management, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and ensuring effective time management across competing priorities.
* Well-developed computer skills and demonstrated experience in using internet applications, word processing, PowerPoint, databases, spreadsheets and computer software packages with a high level of accuracy and independence.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment with a high level of written and verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate and liaise with diverse stakeholders in a sensitive and confidential manner.

Details of appointment:

Multiple Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
