About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director / CFO, the Finance Manager will lead the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial operations, strong controls, and timely reporting across the business. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys leading teams and maintaining operational excellence within a project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day finance operations of the business
* Lead the AP and AR teams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls
* Oversee transactional accounting including invoicing, progress claims, supplier payments, and reconciliations
* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and payment cycles
* Support month-end and year-end close processes
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
* Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements
* Improve financial processes, systems, and internal controls
* Liaise with project managers to support job costing, contract administration, and financial reporting
About You
You are a detail-oriented and proactive finance leader with strong operational capability and experience managing transactional finance teams.
You will bring:
* CPA or CA qualification (or near completion)
* Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant within the construction sector
* Hands-on experience managing AP and AR functions
* Strong understanding of job costing, progress claims, and project accounting
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* High attention to detail with a practical, problem-solving mindset
