Your responsibilities will include:Represent the company in selling a range of specialised machines, manufacturing materials and other industrial supplies.Managing an existing portfolio of key customers and expanding market shareEngaging with clients through phone, email, and face-to-face meetingsConducting live demonstrations and training sessions for distributors and end usersProviding gas and gas-cutting equipment recommendations and technical supportImplementing sales strategies to drive business growthPerforming quotations, invoicing, and administrative sales tasksSome interstate travel (quarterly/biannual trips to NSW, occasional long-distance QLD travel)Participating in merchandising and promotional activitiesIdentifying and compiling lists of prospective industrial clients in the gas and welding sectorAcquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company’s gas and welding equipment, tools, and consumables, as well as those of competitors, and staying informed on current market trends and conditions.Conducting regular site visits to existing and potential clients to identify sales opportunities, promote product solutions, and build long-term business relationships.Assessing clients’ technical and operational needs, and providing expert advice on the most suitable gas systems, welding machinery, safety equipment, and associated products or services.Monitoring client feedback, evolving customer requirements, and competitor offerings to inform internal product strategies and sales approaches.Preparing accurate quotations, negotiating pricing, credit terms, and service agreements in line with company policies, and processing purchase orders accordingly.Coordinating the timely delivery and, where required, installation of welding equipment and gas systems in collaboration with logistics and technical support teams.Reporting to sales and business development management on client activity, pipeline progression, and marketability of products and services.Following up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction with products delivered, managing warranty or servicing issues, and fostering repeat business opportunities.Maintaining detailed records of sales activity, client interactions, business expenses, and preparing periodic sales reports for internal review.· About YouBachelor degree or higher qualification, and, at least 12 months of full-time work in this occupation or a related field, or at least five years of relevant sales experience in the gas industry, welding, cutting equipment, or industrial salesStrong technical knowledge ingas, gas-cutting, and welding equipmentAbility to engage customers bothinternally (phone/email) and externally (on-site visits)A self-starter mentality with a proactive, problem-solving approachExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)A trade background or technical knowledge ofgas, welding, heating, and specialty gasproducts is highly desirableUnlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
