The Ramelius Exploration team encompasses near-mine, brownfields and regional exploration programmes across multiple mineralisation styles and lithology.
Exploration programmes range from early-stage soil sampling to advanced resource definition programmes surrounding the Mount Magnet operation in the Midwest, the Rebecca-Roe tenements located approximately 150km east of Kalgoorlie, and the Dalgaranga operations that were acquired through the merger with Spartan Resources.
The Role Reporting to the Principal Geologist, this key leadership position is responsible for target generation, program design and technical field execution at Dalgaranga.
You'll ensure excellence across safety, compliance and technical delivery while mentoring the next generation of exploration talent.
Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting the Principal Geologist in assessing prospects and developing exploration strategies.
Conceptualising and generating high-quality exploration targets and work programs.
Managing and supervising field activities to ensure technical excellence and timely data interpretation.
Providing mentoring, coaching and in-field leadership to Project and Exploration Geologists and Field Technicians.
Overseeing compliance with tenure, heritage, environmental and safety obligations.
Leading safety initiatives, toolbox meetings and field hazard management in line with Ramelius' safety culture.
Monitoring budgets and schedules to ensure programs are delivered within approved parameters.
Assisting in identifying and evaluating new exploration opportunities.
Contributing to team development and recruitment to support growth objectives.
About You You're an experienced exploration geologist who thrives on discovery and enjoys leading and developing people.
With deep gold exploration expertise across multiple deposit styles, you'll also bring: A tertiary qualification in Geology, Geological Science or a related discipline.
A minimum of 15 years' exploration experience in gold systems and varied mineralisation settings.
Proven safety leadership and a proactive approach to managing people and field operations.
Strong technical capability in target generation, drilling supervision, data interpretation and reporting.
Sound understanding of WA mining, safety, heritage and tenure legislation.
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
Advanced proficiency in Micromine and ArcGIS.
WA "C" Class driver's licence and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
Desirable: First Aid Certificate and completion or partial completion of WHS risk management requirements for Statutory Supervisor.
