We're seeking an experienced Sommelier to be our wine ambassador, inspiring staff and elevating the dining experience. The successful candidate will delight guests, listen to their preferences, and recommend wines that suit their taste, menu choices, and budget.
The ideal candidate will have:
* a warm and relaxed approach to wine service
* excellent guest engagement and upselling skills
* strong knowledge of wine storage, presentation, and service standards
* ability to coach and inspire FOH staff
Key responsibilities include:
* providing exceptional wine service, pouring, topping up glasses, and offering additional wine at the right time
* working with the Venue Manager to select, review, and balance the wine list, focusing on Tasmanian producers
* maintaining the highest standards of wine presentation, storage, and service equipment
