VTG Waste & Recycling is a leader in sustainable waste management solutions in the Northern Territory. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team. About the Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty waste trucks and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems
* Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation
* Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced workshop environment
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified diesel mechanic (preferably with waste or heavy industries)
* Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
* Current driver's license (HR or higher preferred)
