The Opportunity
This is a 1-year fixed-term contract for a Process Engineer at our headquarters in Macquarie University. You will develop and implement safe, scalable, stable, and robust manufacturing processes for new and existing products across our manufacturing network.
Within a collaborative Process Engineering team, you will support supply chain and R&D, contributing to Cochlear's mission of helping people hear and be heard.
Your Responsibilities include:
1. Developing reliable manufacturing processes within Cochlear and at supplier sites.
2. Supporting project execution in supply chain and R&D by developing manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
3. Ensuring processes and documents comply with Cochlear QMS and international regulations (e.g., WL, PFMEA).
4. Relocating or duplicating processes to meet manufacturing strategy.
5. Meeting business needs, on time and within budget.
6. Reviewing PIP processes to improve compliance and launch outcomes.
7. Aligning manufacturing technology development with Cochlear's long-term strategy.
8. Supporting team development and resource planning to meet manufacturing goals.

About You
We seek candidates with a passion for delivering quality hearing solutions, who possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering.
* Preferably 2+ years in a similar role within a regulated industry.
* Experience in process development or mechanical design.
* Experience in manufacturing process development and validation.
* Knowledge of risk management methodologies.
