Strategic leader role with the opportunity to lead high-quality financial audits across a diverse and complex public sector portfolio, ensuring accountability, transparency, and public trust.


We are looking for

You are an accomplished and strategic audit leader who is committed to contributing to our vision of better public services and our mission of independent and valued assurance and insights. As a Senior Director you will be the recognised specialist in the portfolios you are managing, with significant experience working with a broad range of clients and leading teams to deliver timely financial audits within agreed budgets. You will direct the strategy, risk identification and audit planning, delivery and reporting process, deliver reports to Parliament, and provide expert advice and assistance to stakeholders and the Auditor‑General. You will also contribute to the Office's forward work plan and identify opportunities for improving public services and accountability.

As the independent auditor of the public sector and local governments, we are vital to Queensland's integrity system. We provide independent, professional audit and assurance services, giving parliament and the public trusted assurance and insights. We have hundreds of audit clients from a wide range of industries across Queensland. We help them improve their financial management and performance so they can deliver better public services for the community. We support the Queensland Parliament in holding entities to account for the effective, efficient, and economical use of public resources and also engage with many other stakeholders, such as integrity bodies, accounting standards boards, and Australian and international audit offices. * A Brisbane based role with hybrid work arrangements – work from the office and from home.
* Salary commensurate with experience starting at $231,634 (includes 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading).
