Job Overview
The Process Safety Manager position involves leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive process safety management strategy. This includes ensuring compliance with industry best practices, collaborating with operational teams, conducting regular meetings, and presenting key safety metrics to senior leadership.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the effective governance and execution of the process safety management plan.
* Lead and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities and SAP administration tasks.
* Conduct thorough incident investigations, alarm management reviews, and provide functional safety oversight.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safety-critical controls are integrated into asset plans.
* Deliver in-house training on process safety, MOC, and technical compliance.
Essential Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or related discipline.
* Substantial experience in utilities, power generation, or large-scale process plants, heavy industry, mining, and oil and gas sectors.
* A deep understanding of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* An analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
