We're looking for an experienced Senior Report Developer to join a leading electricity distribution business, working within a high‐profile IT/OT Innovation team on a business‐critical program of work.
About the role
In this role you will be responsible for end‐to‐end report development using Oracle SQL and Tableau, working closely with technical and business stakeholders in a fast‐paced environment. You'll own new report builds, enhancements to existing reports, platform performance improvements and the reporting technical‐debt backlog.
Key responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain business‐critical reports and dashboards using Oracle SQL and Tableau.
* Enhance and refactor existing reports to improve performance, usability and reliability.
* Monitor and tune reporting platform performance across data models, queries and visualisations.
* Manage and prioritise the reporting technical‐debt backlog, including fixes, refactors and small enhancements.
* Work closely with business SMEs, data engineers and architects to understand requirements and translate them into robust reporting solutions.
* Contribute to best practices, standards and documentation for reporting and analytics.
Key skills and experience
* Strong commercial experience as a Report Developer, BI Developer or similar.
* Advanced Oracle SQL skills, including complex queries, optimisation and performance tuning.
* Solid hands‐on experience building Tableau dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
* Proven background working in fast‐paced, Agile or product‐centric teams.
* Experience managing and reducing technical debt in reporting or analytics platforms.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Start: ASAP (immediate availability highly regarded)
* Location: Melbourne (hybrid working available)
* Rate: Competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience
* Duration: 12 Month contract with strong likelihood of extension
