About the role
Yarra Ranges Council is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Integrated Early Childhood Teacher to join the team at Sherbrooke Family and Children’s Centre (SFCC) in Upwey.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate kindergarten programs as part of our long day care service. You’ll create a welcoming and engaging environment that fosters the growth, learning, and development of children in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
SFCC provides integrated family and children’s services, including long day care, making it an ideal environment for holistic care and education.
This is a Part Time Permanent position (22.5 hours per week with a 30 minute break).
This role has a starting hourly rate from $39.34 per hour (determined based on experience in sector), plus superannuation.

Experience and skills we’re looking for
* A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, and current VIT registration.
* Proven experience in planning and delivering kindergarten programs within a long day care setting, with a strong understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
* Ability to work as part of a diverse team, providing guidance and support to fellow educators and fostering a positive work environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with families, colleagues, and community partners.
* Strong knowledge and adherence to child safety standards, including mandatory reporting obligations.
* Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs to individual children and evolving educational trends.
