As a geotechnical specialist, you will report directly to the senior engineer and be responsible for various tasks such as seismic monitoring, rock mass data collection, deformation monitoring (damage mapping, LiDAR, extensometers), and geotechnical hazard and risk management.
You will possess an eye for detail and have a talent for identifying and mitigating complex problems or hazards, ensuring that lessons are learned, process improvements are understood, communicated, and documented.
In this role, you will develop and implement key engineering procedures and systems that will set the standard for years to come, working alongside some of the world's leading experts in block cave mining.
Qualifications
* Experience in hard rock (preferable) or underground mining is essential
* A bachelor's degree or higher in geotechnical, mining, civil engineering, or geology disciplines is required
* Mandatory: Open manual car licence
This is a 9-day per fortnight or 5/2 residential role in Orange, NSW.
