Position: Retail Manager – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 – $81,000 + Superannuation
About the Role
The Retail Manager will oversee end-to-end store operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, merchandising, customer service, and sales performance. You will ensure that the store runs efficiently, meets sales targets, and upholds high service standards. This role requires strong leadership, operational planning, and hands-on management capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations including opening, closing, staff scheduling, and workflow coordination.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate retail staff to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales goals.
- Manage stock levels, conduct stocktakes, and coordinate ordering to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Implement effective merchandising, product displays, and promotional strategies.
- Monitor store performance, analyse sales reports, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and escalated issues professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and monitoring operational expenses.
- Train new staff and ensure ongoing adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a retail leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service standards.
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve issues, and manage a busy retail environment.
- Robust communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and drive sales performance.
