Maintenance & Facilities Technician - Manufacturing**About the Role****ASSA ABLOY** is the global leader in access solutions, and our Melbourne manufacturing site is home to iconic Australian brands like **Lockwood, Yale, and Abloy.** We are looking for a practical, hands-on **Maintenance & Facilities Technician** who understands the floor, knows how to talk to contractors, and takes pride in a site that runs like clockwork.This isn't a desk-bound engineering role. You'll be the bridge between our production teams and our service providers, ensuring our plant, equipment, and facilities operate safely and reliably every single shift.**What You'll Be Doing*** **Maintenance Planning:** Coordinate scheduled preventative maintenance and safety checks to minimise downtime.* **Contractor Management:** Act as the primary site contact for all external service providers (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Security).* **Site Upgrades:** Support capital works projects and equipment installs alongside the Facilities Supervisor.* **Spare Parts & Inventory:** Identify and track critical spare parts to ensure we're always ready for repairs.* **Safety & Compliance:** Conduct site audits, monitor safety equipment, and ensure all maintenance records are documented and audit-ready.**What You'll Bring*** **Real-World Experience:** You have a solid background in a maintenance or facilities role within a **manufacturing environment.*** **Trade Background:** A trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) is highly regarded.
