Conveniently located in the Lake Macquarie region, a short drive from Newcastle and the Central Coast, this role is an excellent opportunity to work in a surface-based mining operation.
Responsibilities
- Operation, inspection and maintenance of coal processing equipment and other associated plant machinery, including (but not limited to):
- Conveyors
- Coal bins
- Feeder systems
- Coal crushers
- Screens
- Truck loading systems

Suitable candidates will have
- Certificate III Electrotechnology – Electrician
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematic diagrams
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to problem solve and use own initiative
- Excellent work ethic and attendance record
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to site safety and operational practices and targets
- Previous experience working in a CHPP environment, working with high voltage, and switching access and using SCADA and PLC systems may be advantageous
