**The Role**
We are seeking a self-motivated
**Payroll Officer** to join our experienced, client-focused team to provide accurate and timely payroll support and advice to ALS laboratories across the region.
Reporting to the National Payroll Manager and as part of a collaborative team, you will process end-to-end payroll for your stakeholder group.
**The day to day**
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining employee records and files
- Processing changes to employee data
- Processing time records and calculating fortnightly pay on a rotating basis
- Processing payroll data and associated filing
- End-of-pay and end-of-month procedure reporting (i.e. leave and overtime reports)
- Workcover claims and reimbursements
- Maintenance of employee superannuation fund details
- Upload EFT details for payroll, group tax and all other creditor payment
- Interpreting Awards and Agreements and Awards
- Upload EFT details for payroll, group tax and all other creditor payments
- Supporting the payroll team with projects and administrative activities
**The essentials**
- Payroll processing experience within a high volume, multi-faceted role
- Superior attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and aptitude to learn, understand and interpret awards and enterprise agreements
- Computer literacy and skills in MS Office (training will be provided in specific payroll software)
- Strong team orientation with a hands-on, can-do attitude
- Fast and agile learner, able to manage competing priorities
- Helpful, customer service attitude
