Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Melbourne Area, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Commodity Trader will be responsible for sourcing and trading commodities, managing market analysis, and developing hedging strategies. Additional responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers, overseeing transactions, and coordinating with finance teams to ensure successful completion of trade-related activities.
Qualifications
* Expertise in Trading and thorough knowledge of Commodity Markets
* Proficiency in Finance and Hedging to manage risk effectively
* Strong Sales skills to build and maintain client relationships
* Ability to analyze and act on market trends for strategic decision-making
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
* A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred
* Previous experience in commodity trading or a related field is beneficial
