We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support the finance team on a 12-month parental leave cover. In this role, you will be integral to the Finance Team's objective of providing accurate and timely financial information and maintaining compliance with all financial regulations.
Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards, managing tax calculations, lodgements, and compliance, payroll management, resolving technical accounting issues, accurately accounting for all trading transactions and positions, providing detailed financial information and explanations, assisting in preparing variance analysis reports and compiling supporting documentation for financial reports, and maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
* CA or CPA (or currently working towards)
* Experience in preparing financial statements and performing balance sheet reconciliations
* A strong understanding of IFRS and other accounting standards, ensuring compliance
* Experience with tax calculations, lodgements, and compliance
* Proficiency in advanced Excel and accounting software
