About the company: Boneo Park is one of Australia's leading equestrian event facilities, specialising in running equestrian events in the disciplines of dressage, showjumping and interschools. This year Boneo Park will host the Australian Jumping Championships as well as several other international events.

Boneo Park also has an agistment facility, restaurant, and significant wetland under a conservation covenant on its 715- acre facility. Position Title: Events Manager Role

Objectives: Boneo Park is entering an exciting new chapter of growth. This newly created position will play a key role in planning and delivering a calendar of events across the year, including world class showjumping and dressage competitions. This role will be central to continual innovation that delights existing audiences and attracts new consumers. Fundamental to this role is a deep understanding of, and passion for, equestrian – in particular the disciplines of Dressage and Showjumping.

Reporting to: CEO

Key Responsibilities: The Events Manager is a hands-on role, and the responsibilities will include the following:

Working with management to confirm the calendar of events and associated deliverables:

○ Define event vision, scope, budget, ROI

○ Create applications and manage submissions to relevant industry bodies to apply for and secure events. Manage post event reporting.

Creating and managing opportunities to raise awareness with existing audiences and attract new audiences:

○ Define and manage go-to market strategy, including marketing and communications plans and associated materials to raise awareness of events and drive rider engagement, ticketing conversion and wider consumer attendance

○ Create hospitality and premium experiences that continually innovate and evolve setting world class standards

○ Develop partner/sponsor opportunities including creation of relevant pitch materials and subsequent contracting and reporting

Project management of event planning:

○ Brief and align Agistment, Grounds and broader teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met

○ Source and contract key suppliers, such as furniture, signage, food & beverage, décor, AV etc

○ Develop competition run sheets and competitor draws

○ Manage database and online entry platform

○ Engage and schedule event day contractors, officials and volunteers

○ Manage competitor communications

Manage event day operations:

○ Attend event days and be available as a team member in the Event Office assisting with customer service and/or other requirements as needed

○ Manage hospitality and premium experiences deliverables

○ Manage event day suppliers, including bump in and bump out and sponsor deliverables ○ Manage event day team including officials, volunteers and contractors

○ Ensure compliance with equestrian discipline and industry regulations

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

● 5+ years in event management experience, ideally within the sporting industry

● Deep understanding of equestrian – specifically dressage and showjumping, including industry regulations and competition rules and frameworks.

● Experience in marketing and/or communications

● Experience in sponsorship/partnerships – account management or new business

● Proven skills in managing teams, suppliers and event operations

● Creative, innovative mindset, with a high level of motivation and positive attitude

● Strong organisation and project management skills including responsibility for budgets

● Excellent presentation and communication skills, written and oral

● Bachelor of communications, marketing, event management, commerce or similar preferred

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Work Hours: Application Five days per week. This role will involve work on a significant number of weekends given our events are held on weekends, with days off in lieu during the week. Boneo Park also provides flexible working options.
