Job Description
Sodexo is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Injury Management Coordinator to join our team in a permanent position. Reporting to our General Manager, Workers Compensation, and Injury Management. This role is Monday to Friday 38hrs per week. The role is based in our Perth Support Centre in Balcatta with occasional travel to remote sites.
Responsibilities
* Plan, develop and implement pro‑active injury management and rehabilitation strategies for injured workers
* Coordinate receipt of claims from all states and ensure timely completion of claim forms for registration with insurance providers
* Communicating, influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders
* Accurately complete administrative tasks associated with worker compensation including file notes, RTW plans, filing of claims, maintenance of documentation on injury management system
* Ensure legal compliance with existing and proposed legislation
* Actively participate in claim reviews with insurer and other key stakeholders on a regular basis to achieve optimal RTW outcomes with minimal costs.
* Calculate and ensure accurate processing of weekly compensation payments and payments to medical providers as required
* Assist with development and deliver the internal injury management training package to key internal stakeholders
* Liaise with injured workers, insurers, health professionals, rehabilitation providers, operations/support personnel, legal providers and other key SMEs, as required.
* Actively participate in medical case conferencing to achieve optimal RTW outcomes
* Meet general client contractual reporting requirements for incident performance
* Provide manager and leadership team with provision of timely reports, including analytical reports and summarise results
* Accurately complete and record all administrative tasks in relation to injury management and workers compensation in line with national strategy and procedural requirements
* Assist in development and deliver injury management training programs to key internal stakeholders
* Participate in regular incident classification reviews with provision of relevant information to support HSE classification of incidents in accordance with company guidelines
* Attend relevant training sessions and keep abreast of current and proposed legislation associated with injury management and workers compensation
* Assist with managing change and encourage team members to contribute to improvement initiatives and a continuous improvement philosophy
* To be responsible for adhering to the health, safety, environmental and quality standards, policies and procedures and for proactively acting in a manner that supports a healthy and safe work environment, including the reporting of all incidents and hazards, work environment, including the reporting of all incidents and hazards

Qualifications
Experiences
* Minimum 3 years experience in Injury Management or a related area
Knowledge & Skills
Degree in allied health or related discipline (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Psychology preferred)
* Comprehensive knowledge of workers compensation legislation (Advanced) for relevant portfolio (Advanced)
* Knowledge of current WHS legislative requirements (Advanced) and workers compensation and injury management systems (Advanced)
* Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
* Excellent Analysis (Expert) and decision‑making (Expert) skills
* Strong and timely record‑keeping (Expert) skills with Attention to Detail (Expert).
* Strong Initiative (Advanced) and able to work autonomously.
* Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
* High critical thinking/ reasoning (Expert) ability and analytical.
* Intermediate of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word (Expert), PowerPoint (Expert), Outlook (Expert))
