About the role
As General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and leadership of our New Vehicles, Used Vehicles and Fleet departments, with a clear focus on driving results across volume, profitability, customer experience, and team development.
You will lead a strong leadership group including a New Car Manager, Used Car Manager and Fleet Manager, along with the broader Sales teams, Finance & Insurance and Aftercare departments.
This is a hands-on senior leadership role suited to someone who thrives on accountability, performance and building high-performing teams within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and develop the New, Used and Fleet departments to achieve sales, gross and KPI targets
* Provide direct leadership and support to the New Car Manager, Used Car Manager and Fleet Manager
* Work closely with Finance & Insurance and Aftercare teams to maximise overall dealership performance
* Drive a culture focused on customer experience, professionalism and accountability
* Manage stock control, pricing strategies and campaign execution
* Monitor and act on key performance metrics, reporting and insights
* Identify and develop future leaders within the business

* Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the automotive industry
* Strong track record delivering results across sales volume, gross and customer satisfaction
* Experience leading multiple departments or stepping into a broader leadership role
* Highly developed leadership and people management capability
* Commercially focused with strong planning and organisational skills
