In this role, you'll:
• Play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly by managing permits and enquiries efficiently and supporting your manager to prioritise team tasks
• Use your technical expertise and sound judgement to safeguard public safety, maintain critical infrastructure, and enable the safe, productive, and sustainable movement of freight and have the opportunity to contribute ideas and improvements that make processes more efficient and enhance outcomes for all stakeholders
• Manage regulatory map change requests and look for ways to enhance and expand mapping coverage, helping reduce the need for permits for Restricted Access Vehicles (RAVs) on the NSW State Road Network. Your work will make freight movement safer, more efficient, and less dependent on manual approvals
• Contribute to process improvements and digital tools such as the Automated Access Assessment Program (AAAP)

About you
Demonstrated experience in managing regulatory map change requests and working with Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) access frameworks, including permit processes and regulatory mapping principles. Sound knowledge of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and road freight sector requirements, enabling compliance, risk mitigation, and the safe, efficient movement of heavy vehicles across the network.
Experience in coordinating and prioritising multiple operational tasks and stakeholder enquiries, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including local government, to achieve timely, high-quality outcomes.
Appropriate tertiary in a related discipline, or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience
