AIM Mining Corporation is an emerging gold development company with strong growth ambitions. We currently operate the Warrawoona Gold Project in the East Pilbara and are preparing to advance the high-grade Blue Spec Gold & Antimony Project and the Nullagine Gold Project.
Based in our modern West Perth office, we are now seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on, full-time role focused primarily on processing payroll for employees, with the opportunity to provide backup support across general accounts duties as required.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, you will manage end-to-end payroll processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payments. You will also maintain payroll records, support reporting requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Process fortnightly and monthly payroll runs using Pronto, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness
* Maintain and update employee payroll records
* Review timesheets, payroll forms and other payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to processing
* Process and lodge all payroll obligations accurately and on time, including:
* Superannuation
* PAYG
* Payroll tax
* Child support
* Novated leases
* Prepare payroll journals and month-end reconciliations
* Maintain accurate payroll documentation to support audits and reporting requirements
* Respond to payroll related queries and provide support to employees
* Provide backup support across accounts duties as required
* Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of payroll processes
* Assist with project work as directed by the Group Financial Manager
About You
* Proven experience in a payroll-focused role, ideally managing end-to-end payroll processes
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance obligations
* Experience using Pronto (highly regarded)
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
* Ability to work independently and within a collaborative finance team
