Job Advert: Processing Assistant
NU STYLE SHUTTERS specialises in HOME IMPROVEMENT products such as Roller Shutters, Outdoor Blinds, Security Products and Louvre Shutters.
We are currently seeking Processing Assistant to join our fast-growing business and become part of our strong, successful, and highly skilled team.
Role Purpose:
The Processing Specialist is responsible for accurately processing orders from measure and sales through to production and installation. This role requires strong industry knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with numbers, Excel files, and internal systems. The Processing Assistant also acts as a key link between customer service, production, and installation teams to ensure jobs are processed correctly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process customer orders for roller shutters, outdoor blinds, and related products with a high level of accuracy.
* Interpret check measure sheets, technical specifications, drawings, and job notes.
* Enter and verify data within Excel spreadsheets and the company's internal systems.
* Ensure all dimensions, materials, colours, and configurations are correct prior to production.
* Liaise with factory and installation teams regarding technical requirements.
* Liaise with customer service to assist with customer enquiries related to orders, processing, and timelines.
* Make and receive customer service calls when clarification is required.
* Work closely with sales, customer service, factory, and installation teams to ensure smooth job flow.
* Escalate issues or risks that may impact quality, timelines, or customer satisfaction.
* Identify potential errors before orders reach production to prevent remakes and delays.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Assist in continuous improvement of processing systems, templates, and workflows.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in the roller shutters, outdoor blinds, window fabrication, or security screen fabrication industry.
* Experience working in a processing, production, or operations role.
* Familiarity with manufacturing or custom-made product environments.
* Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience working with Excel and internal processing systems.
* Ability to interpret technical measurements and specifications.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Clear communicator with the ability to liaise across departments.
* Proactive problem-solver with a quality-focused mindset.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

* Hourly Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
