Job Description:
* The role of a Clinical Research Fellow is to contribute to the development and conduct of clinical research in respiratory medicine / respiratory oncology.
* This position will involve participating in the conduct of clinical trials as a sub-investigator or co-investigator, liaising with the principal investigator when required.
* You will be involved in multidisciplinary management of patients, including consultation requests for Allied Health and other medical specialties and nurse case managers.
* This position will also involve contributing to all aspects of clinical care for admitted patients, working with nursing staff, allied health professionals, pastoral care services, and other clinicians both onsite and offsite.
* You will participate in MER calls and provide clinical supervision and teaching as required, and assist in the professional development of junior medical doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Additionally, you will participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* You must have General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with at least three years post-graduate experience.
* A proven interest in clinical research and a desire to improve your research skills with strong planning and communication skills are essential.
