Salary: $79,954 per year (level 5) + 14.5% superannuation
Fixed‐term contract – 12 months parental leave cover, start date 19 August 2026.

About the Role
The Senior Administration Officer is responsible for a range of administrative tasks to support the efficient management and smooth operation of the Faculty of Education, Philosophy & Theology. The position reports to the Faculty Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‐level administrative support aligned to the faculty's strategic and operational priorities.
* Coordinate internal and external processes, including effective record management and maintenance of faculty registers.
* Support academic governance processes in collaboration with the Faculty Manager and Curriculum Manager.
* Manage detailed administrative tasks such as data entry, spreadsheet maintenance, correspondence, and preparing reports and meeting minutes.
* Apply policies and procedures to prioritise work effectively and resolve issues within the scope of responsibility.
* Deliver comprehensive administrative support in a collaborative academic environment, facilitating smooth operations and effective coordination among stakeholders.
* Be part of a welcoming community of professionals, academics and students.
* Contribute as an active team member and provide high‐quality customer service to both external partners and university stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Degree qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
* Demonstrated administrative experience in a fast‐paced environment, with higher education experience highly regarded.
* Proven ability to deliver academic processes with high‐quality customer service, supported by knowledge of academic and administrative policies and the capability to interpret and apply them effectively.
* Proven commitment to delivering high‐quality customer service, supported by strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Intermediate/advanced skills across the MS Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word, SharePoint) and student administration systems with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
* Strong organisational, time‐management and attention‐to‐detail skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
