Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of an Accountant with expertise in taxation.
This position involves working closely with senior accountants, clients, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a designated portfolio of clients, providing services from bookkeeping to financial accounts and tax returns.
* Collaborate with senior accountants on tax planning, succession, estate planning, asset protection, business structures, and restructuring.
* Establish strong relationships with clients, network partners, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and rapport building.
* Pursue ongoing professional development, tax training, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years of continuous experience in a CPA/CA/IPA firm in Public Practice accounting and tax compliance.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in understanding business structures and preparing financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Individuals.
* Demonstrated knowledge of CGT small business concessions, FBT, GST, Div.7A, and other relevant taxation concepts.
* Excellent working knowledge of MYOB AE, MYOB, Xero, and MS Office suite.
* Fluent English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work based in Melbourne area as required.
