Key project delivery role supporting construction of a major energy infrastructure
Ideally experience with 330kV+, Mudgee based or DIDO from Sydney / Newcastle
Lead the construction delivery of critical energy transmission infrastructure program. Candidates can have experience in either conventional or renewable energy transmission.
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of an energy transition project based in Mudgee, NSW.
This role will support the successful planning, execution and delivery of major transmission and infrastructure works as part of a landmark program. Working closely with the leadership team, this role will assist in managing construction interfaces, schedules, risks and stakeholder coordination across a complex, large-scale infrastructure environment.
The Project Manager will be involved in supporting generator integration, contractor coordination and ensuring alignment with the delivery program. This role will also contribute to governance, reporting, compliance and risk management across the project lifecycle.
This opportunity would suit an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong background in transmission, energy or major construction projects, particularly within complex or government-led environments. Ideally experience with 330kV+.
This role will suit local candidates or those seeking DIDO Monday to Friday from Sydney, Newcastle or surrounding regions or being Mudgee based.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
* Support delivery of construction works in line with program and contractual requirements
* Assist with schedule management and coordination across multiple delivery interfaces
* Support integration between generators, contractors and broader infrastructure delivery
* Assist in achieving key construction milestones and program outcomes
Risk & Compliance Management
* Support identification, management and mitigation of project delivery risks
* Assist with monitoring retained risks and escalating issues where required
* Contribute to development and implementation of risk-based project oversight programs
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety and environmental standards
Stakeholder & Interface Management
* Support coordination with contractors, government bodies and key stakeholders
* Assist with communication and reporting to senior leadership and decision makers
* Contribute to effective management of third-party interfaces and delivery partners
Governance & Reporting
* Support project governance, reporting and probity requirements
* Assist with monitoring project performance, budgets and delivery outcomes
* Contribute to ensuring alignment with integrated program and master schedule
Qualifications and Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline
* Minimum 10+ years' experience in project delivery within major infrastructure or energy projects
* Demonstrated experience in transmission or energy infrastructure delivery (330kV+)
* Experience supporting delivery of complex, large-scale infrastructure programs
* Experience in delivery of 500kV transmission
* Strong understanding of project management principles including cost, schedule and risk
* Experience working within regulated or government project environments desirable
* Experience in major linear or greenfield infrastructure projects highly regarded
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
