We are seeking a Finance Officer to join a client based in Jabiru in a permanent full-time position
Your new role An exciting opportunity exists for a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Officer to join a dynamic finance team.
This role is responsible for managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cashiering functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
The position requires a strong focus on customer service, financial integrity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Accounts Receivable
Process credit applications and set up new accounts.
Ensure debtor invoices are accurate and supported by valid documentation.
Manage timely transfers to the ledger and distribution of invoices.
Respond promptly to debtor enquiries and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconcile credit card transactions and process commissions.
Prepare monthly statements and assist with end-of-month reporting and audits.
Accounts Payable
Verify and process invoices with appropriate coding and authorisations.
Maintain accurate vendor information and reconcile supplier statements.
Prepare payment runs in line with vendor terms and ensure compliance with controls.
Coordinate overseas payments and manage accruals journals.
Monitor ageing reports and follow up on outstanding items.
Cashiering
Collect, count, and reconcile daily cash from outlets.
Prepare banking reports and coordinate with security providers.
Manage petty cash, reimbursements, and ATM reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and internal controls.
Assist with end-of-month journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
About You
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Finance Officer or similar role (hospitality experience highly regarded).
Strong knowledge of accounting procedures, policies, and systems.
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and financial software.
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with multicultural awareness.
Flexible, self-motivated, and able to adapt to change.
