Plant Production Supervisor
We're seeking a hands‑on and safety‑focused Plant Production Supervisor to join our explosives manufacturing team. Based at our Charters Towers, QLD facility, you'll be on a 4:3 roster responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring targets are met safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
This leadership role is ideal for someone who takes pride in mentoring teams, driving performance, and maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise the production of explosive products including ANFO and emulsions
* Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to meet daily targets
* Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce strict safety protocols
* Coordinate batching, dispatch, and delivery schedules with logistics teams
* Monitor product quality and maintain accurate QA records
* Report equipment faults and authorise shutdowns when necessary
* Manage inventory levels and oversee goods documentation
* Prepare daily production reports and maintain compliance records
* Mentor staff and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role
* Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
* Familiarity with explosive materials and regulatory standards (highly regarded)
* Moderate computer literacy and ability to manage reporting systems
* A proactive, safety‑first mindset with high attention to detail
* Ability to lead with fairness, consistency, and integrity
* Police clearance and security clearance required
