Community Recovery & Resilience Officer (Temporary)
The role of the Community Recovery & Resilience Officer is to enhance resilience in the community by developing and implementing community development initiatives and programs. Specifically, the planning and implementation of a Community Resilience Network (CRN) and undertaking broad community education and awareness raising to increase levels of disaster prevention and preparedness in the community.
This is a temporary, full time position to 31 March 2027 and is funded under the Queensland and Australian Government’s Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
The Role:
Undertake community disaster education and awareness, implement and deliver a Community Resilience Network (CRN) to support disaster operations and recovery, assist communities to rebuild and recover after a disaster, implement community development initiatives and programs to enhance resilience, and build strong relationships with key agencies involved in community recovery.

What we are looking for:
You will be a natural at connecting with others with experience in community development and capacity building, collaborating and negotiating outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders, public speaking, facilitation and training, project management and reporting.

- LGOA Level 5/1 - $89,573 per annum
- Mareeba Allowance of $2,080 per annum
