Hey, you! Yes, you – the one who's highly organised but doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Are you looking for a flexible role you can shape around your life – not the other way around? Do you love being the glue that keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes?
We’re First Scaff — experts in complex scaffolding and big believers in good people and great culture — and we’re on the hunt for an energetic, adaptable, people-smart Payroll/Admin Officer to support our next stage of growth.
About the Role
This is no cookie-cutter admin job. You’ll work closely with our Accounts Manager, supporting:
Payroll processing
Accounts payable/receivable
General admin tasks
Social media or content if that’s your thing (no pressure!)
The hours? Totally flexible.Work around school drop-offs, study timetables, or other commitments. Whether you’re a parent returning to work or a uni student looking to support your degree — we’ll work with you to make it fit. Once you're confident in the role, there’s flexibility to work some hours from home too.
✨ You’ll Love This If You:
Are comfortable communicating with both boardroom-level clients to tradies and everyone in-between
Are a quick learner and tech-savvy (proficient with computers is a must)
Want a job that values life balance, study goals, and family-first thinking
Are eager to grow your skills in admin, bookkeeping, or even OH&S over time
Are proactive, reliable, and just… fun to work with
Experience in a similar role is great but not essential — if you’re organised, great with a computer, keen to learn, and good with people, we’ll back you.
What’s In It For You?
Total flexibility – around family, study or life
Anything from 8-14 hours per week with the option to grow your hours over time
Work 2–3 short days per week (school or uni hours welcome!)
Training pathways available over time in admin, bookkeeping, or OH&S
Be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team
Make the role your own and grow with the business
To apply, send us your resume along with a brief cover letter telling us a bit about yourself, what drew you to this role, and why you think you'd be a great fit for the team.
We’d love to hear from you — and don’t stress if you don’t tick every box.
