As a Physical Security Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and maintaining physical security infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services, including CoPilot, Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Your responsibilities will include managing the health of physical security systems across multiple locations through break/fix operations, participating in on-call DRI rotations for support, ensuring systems & hardware are configured according to standards, participating in program improvements with other teams, and enabling new datacenter capacity through programming access control and video systems. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience managing and administering physical security systems (Lenel and Milestone), with expertise in lifecycle management of security devices, video server configuration, security incident and event management (SIEM), IT, and operational incident response. OR a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as Lenel, Milestone, CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, and/or Security. Responsibilities Physical Security System Implementation Program physical access control and video systems for new datacenter deployments. Oversee security system design to ensure compliance with standards and requirements. Maintaining and Operating Physical Security Systems Participate in on-call rotations supporting physical security systems. Assess system health data to identify gaps, trends, and compliance issues, and collaborate on strategies to address them at scale. Continuously improve processes, procedures, and documentation. Manage lifecycle support and compliance of physical security systems, coordinating maintenance and repairs with internal teams and external providers. Collaboration and Partner Experience Work with engineering, project management, and design teams to enhance the physical security environment and program effectiveness.
