About The Role

The Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in coordinating community engagement and fundraising activities across the Roma / South‑West region of Queensland. Based in Roma, this new position will help bring LifeFlight's mission to life through activation of the Visitor Experience Centre, local events, presentations, and partnerships with individuals, businesses and community organisations. The role also oversees the regional volunteer program, ensuring effective support for fundraising activities and events, while contributing to the ongoing development of engagement initiatives that align with LifeFlight strategic objectives. This is a permanent part‑time role (three days per week), offering a hands‑on opportunity to connect with the community, coordinate meaningful events and lead passionate volunteers. If you're someone who enjoys building relationships and creating positive community impact, this role offers the chance to make a genuine difference while strengthening LifeFlight's presence across the region and supporting our lifesaving mission.


About You

You're a community‑mindful professional who enjoys bringing people together and creating meaningful impact. With experience in event coordination, fundraising or community engagement, you're organised, proactive and confident engaging with people from all walks of life.


You'll Bring

* 2+ years' experience coordinating fundraising events, launches or engagement activities.
* Background in a not‑for‑profit or comparable organisation, contributing to purpose‑driven outcomes.
* Strong communication and networking skills, with confidence in public speaking.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM systems (Salesforce highly regarded).
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and goals.
* Flexibility to travel and work evenings or weekends when required, plus a current QLD driver's licence.


Desirable

Tertiary qualifications in a related field, experience managing volunteers or developing fundraising plans, and good local knowledge of the South‑West Queensland region.

Salary Packaging Options

Additional Information

Note: the successful applicant will be required to undergo background checks including a national police check as a condition of employment.
