Teacher Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as an Applied Learning Teacher.
The GOALS campus of Lavers Hill K-12 College aims to re-engage young people who are currently disengaged from any form of education by providing students with a flexible and tailored education program.
As a member of our small, collaborative team, you will be supported to integrate wellbeing, applied learning, and community engagement into your practice, with a focus on project-based learning, student agency, and individualised progress.
This role focuses on classroom management, subject content, and teaching practice. New entrants to the teaching profession receive structured support, mentoring, and guidance from teachers at higher levels.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills
* Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs
* Demonstrated ability to incorporate trauma-informed practice
* Experienced in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community
You will plan and deliver programs to achieve specific student outcomes, engage in critical reflection and inquiry, and participate in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions.
