Administration Assistant - Indigenous Trainee Program
This is an exciting opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals to develop their skills and knowledge in administration, finance, and payroll services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to both internal and external clients.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our Shared Services (SSCX) team. You will be responsible for rotating through 2-to-3 transactional processing areas over a 12-month period, undertaking entry-level tasks from a broad variety of shared services functions. Each rotation will last approximately 3-to-4 months, depending on operational requirements.
About the Program
The SSCX Aboriginal Trainee Program is designed to provide trainees with hands-on experience and training in various areas of administration, finance, and payroll services. Upon completion of the program, performance in each rotational area will be assessed, and suitable candidates may be offered ongoing employment within the Shared Services Centre.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong data entry/keyboard skills, good attention to detail, and proficiency with relevant software. Additionally, you must be able to provide sound clerical and administrative support to both internal and external clients. As an identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons.
