Bathurst Regional Council is looking for a Community Development Officer to join our Community Development team to start early ****.
The new role will support community priorities and objective in relation to children, young people and families across the Bathurst Local Government area.
You will bring your project management skills, strategic thinking and innovation to a team passionate about making a difference in the community.
We are seeking an experienced person who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to making a difference.
As a Community Development Officer, you will lead community development projects, build partnerships and support community priorities and objectives in relation to children, young people and families.
Key Requirements
Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Social Science.
Community Development experience, working with community members, community groups and organisations.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Children, Young People and Family Sector
Ability to lead successful capacity building projects
Strong organisational and time management skills
Work in team with other Community Development Officers to achieve optimal results

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,****** - $1,****** per week + superannuation
Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
